These are just a few of the hundreds of recipes, all concocted, refined and cherished in different parts of Germany.

Each volume in the series has an introduction devoted to detailed information on landscape, history and typical products of the area. Anything from it that you might wish to make is beautifully presented in the recipe section. Each dish is accompanied by a large photo that will really make your mouth water. These pictures also show more scenes from the region – typical houses, ripe apples on the tree, splendid pigs in a meadow – or more down-to-earth, the important steps for successful preparation.
